About
A small local company with unreasonably high standards.
We started Lux Signature Cleaning after years of hiring cleaners and being let down by most of them. We built the company we wanted to hire, and we run it the same way in the Bay Area and Orange County.

Our story
The problem with most house cleaning is not effort. It is that nobody agrees on what "clean" means before the visit, and nobody wants to have the conversation after it. A different person each time, a vague scope, a price that shifts on the day.
So we started with a document instead of a slogan. We wrote down, room by room, exactly what a standard visit includes, what a deep clean adds, and what a move clean must cover to pass a walkthrough. Then we hired people who liked working to that level, paid them properly, and put the checklists on the website for anyone to read.
Today we look after homes across the East Bay, the Tri-Valley, and coastal and central Orange County, most of them on recurring plans, most of them with the same housekeeper they started with. We are not the biggest cleaning company in the county and do not intend to be. We would rather be the one people recommend without hesitation.

Our team
The people who come to your home.
A cleaning company is only its housekeepers. Everything else is logistics. Here is how we treat the part that matters.
Employees, not gig workers
Every housekeeper is on our payroll, background-checked before their first visit, and trained on our checklists in real homes before they are assigned one of their own.
Insured for the homes we work in
General liability and workers compensation coverage, with a certificate available on request. Accidents are rare; when they happen we tell you first and make it right.
Consistency by design
Recurring homes are assigned to one housekeeper or pair. Notes on your preferences travel with the home, so a fill-in visit is never a cold start.
Paid properly, and it shows
Our housekeepers earn well above the industry norm, keep every tip, and stay with us. Low turnover is the reason the same person keeps showing up at your door.

House rules
Small habits, every visit.
The things clients notice after the third visit, when they realize they always happen.
- Shoes off or covered inside every home
- Microfiber sorted by room so bathroom cloths never touch a kitchen
- HEPA-filtered vacuums on hard floors and rugs
- Stone, wood, and glass cleaned with surface-specific products
- Photos of anything we notice, from a leak to a chipped tile
- A text when we arrive and a text when we leave
How it works
From first message to finished home, in four steps.
- 01
Tell us about your home
Two minutes in the quote form or a quick text: type of cleaning, bedrooms and bathrooms, and a date that suits you.
- 02
Approve a written quote
We reply, usually the same business day, with a price, an estimated duration, and the checklist for the visit. Nothing is booked until you say yes.
- 03
We arrive and get to work
Your housekeeper arrives in the agreed window with everything needed, works the checklist, and texts you when the home is done.
- 04
Walk in to a finished home
Pay by card on file after the visit. Set up a recurring plan if you would like the same housekeeper back on a schedule.
No account, no payment up front. A written quote before anything is scheduled.

We have had the same housekeeper for over a year. She knows which cabinets stick, which rug the dog sleeps on, and how I like the pillows. The house is simply always ready.

The grout in our master shower had not been white in three years. It is now. They also found and cleaned behind the range, which no one had asked for and no one else has ever done.

Our property manager walked through with the checklist Lux sent us and signed off on the spot. Full deposit back. Worth every dollar during a stressful week.
